Zorlu Performance Arts Center (PSM) was established in 2013 by the Zorlu Family to transform Turkey’s culture & arts scene and serve as leverage for creative industries. Since its inception, Zorlu PSM has welcomed over 4 million art lovers in a broad range of events, from musicals to concerts and festivals to theater plays. Zorlu PSM and its staff of 150 endeavor to create inspiring artistic experiences in the seven venues of the center, the meeting point for world art, and inspire a growing audience to discover and transform with art.
With its business strategies and targets guided by Zorlu Group’s renewed Smart Life 2030 strategy framework, Zorlu PSM focuses on nourishing artistic creativity, inspiring the society, and designing future-ready business models in line with its values of innovation, dynamism, modernism, reliability, pluralism, inclusion, ambition, novelty, and engagement.
Since 2019, Zorlu PSM has been collaborating with Tosla and the Community Volunteers Foundation (TOG) in the “Last Minute Seat” project, designed to promote participation in cultural activities among students. The project enables students to attend cultural and artistic events, such as theater plays, festivals, musicals, and concerts taking place in Zorlu PSM, by making a TRY 1 donation. Zorlu PSM also runs a talent development program, PSM Workshop, which aims to introduce new writers, directors and producers to the world of theater, and to create a next generation theater network. From 2022 forwards, Zorlu PSM will also stage its own productions designed to raise awareness about social and environmental issues, such as gender equality and climate crisis.
Tüm iş stratejilerini ve hedeflerini Zorlu Grubu’nun yenilenen Akıllı Hayat 2030 strateji çerçevesinde hayata geçiren Zorlu PSM, faaliyetlerini kendisini yenilikçi, dinamik, güncel, güvenilir, çok sesli, kapsayıcı, iddiali, sıra dışı ve eğlenceli olarak tanımlayan değerler kapsamında yürütüyor; artistik üretkenliği beslemeye, topluma ilham vermeye ve geleceğe uygun iş modellerini uygulamaya odaklanıyor.
Ayrıca yetenek geliştirme programı olarak tasarladığı PSM Atölye ile tiyatro alanında sektöre yeni yazar, yönetmen ve yapımcılar kazandırmayı ve yeni nesil bir sektörel ağ oluşturmayı hedefliyor. Zorlu PSM ayrıca 2022 yılından itibaren kendi prodüksiyonuyla sahneye koyacağı oyunlarda toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliği ve iklim krizi gibi toplumsal ve çevresel konuları merkeze alarak izleyicilerde farkındalık yaratmayı amaçlıyor.
